The Meinl 18" Byzance Vintage Sand Medium Crash is one of virtuoso drummer Benny Greb's current standbys. It's medium weight and sandblasted finish are responsible for its mellow character which is slightly brighter and more powerful than the thin crash in this series. GearNuts drummers found the ride-like bell to be good for accent work.
